Over the past 35 years we've purchased 10 homes and sold 8, so we've had a lot of experience with realtors. Mike and Jennifer are honest, loyal and very patient. After we listed our home with them they had a professional photographer take photos and video a virtual tour. They also hired stagers to help ensure our home showed well. We received multiple offers and were very pleased with the price. The Bankers know this market and the other agents. The selling experience was great. We also bought a home with Mike and Jennifer. Again, they provided excellent service and helped us find our forever home. We changed our minds many times during the buying process. We went from building to renovating and from north to south on the island. Despite our fickleness they were very patient and embraced all our requests. They have redefined the meaning of realtor! Local knowledge: Process expertise: Responsiveness: Negotiation skills: We found Jennifer and Mike through sheer dumb luck when we were looking for a home on St. Simons Island. Their command of what was available throughout the island’s market included an intimate familiarity with more than just pricing and location - again and again they knew incredibly useful, detailed information about specific properties and their histories that they used to help us make informed decisions. Moreover, they responded both consistently, promptly, and patiently to our questions throughout the process, and made us feel like we were their only clients (though I am not sure when or if they sleep because we consistently woke with detailed answers to questions that we emailed before going to bed). In short (too late for that), we are grateful that we lucked up on the two most knowledgeable, skilled, dependable realtors in this part of the world. Consequently, I would recommend them without reservation. (Oh - and one added benefit - both Jennifer and Mike were just plain lovely company to boot!)
As newcomers to the Golden Isles we talked with several Real Estate agents. We were not satisfied with any until we meet the Bankers. They are true Real Estate professionals not just agents. Anyone can drive you around an area showing you what is listed. It is that rare breed that has their finger on the pulse of the area, has the creativity to find interesting properties, and the vision to see what a property could be not just what it is. They have the local connections to put together a team to turn a house into your home. You can’t go wrong with them as they’ll devote their entire attention and energy to your needs. At least that’s what they did with us. We were so impressed with their work we’ve already bought a 2nd house with their assistance. As an added bonus they’re just fun, interesting people to be around so there’s never a dull moment when you’re out with them on viewings. We highly recommend Mike and Jennifer Banker for your RE needs in the Golden Isles. Whether for the home you plan on living in or an investment property, they are your best resource on the islands.
